This for the 2015 “Black and White” show at Chris Sorenson Studio and Gallery, at south Van Ness and Railroad, Fresno, CA.
It is a battle line of the 3rd confederate Infantry Regiment in Cleborne’s Division in late 1864. It will be there all of May and is for sale. That’s the rules.

I read about your lawsuit in the Bee today. I am glad to know there are others out there that are tired of having their civil rights stomped on! Good luck and go get’em.
Thanks for the note. Much appreciated. My apologies for a late reply. There is a settlement in the works, but the end of the suit may be near but not as of this date today, January 31, 2017. Best wishes.
Frank, I thought I would reply at this later date. The settlement was signed or finalized last March [2017], with no damages or costs demanded from either parties involved. That the painting was allowed to be shown in the following year of 2016 Big Fresno Fair, was considered to be a win for the CIR lawsuit. While positions and opinions on Confederate images have gotten more heated in the southern states in these past few months, California legislature can still ban the sale of Confederate artifacts at the State Capitol store. I feel that I can comment more about it all now, and one thing the lady at the Fresno Fair office said to me sticks in my mind. She said, “Can’t you paint and submit something nice?” So, in her opinion, one shouldn’t paint or submit something “not nice” or controversial art. or presumably, not P.C. Thanks again.
